Happy New Year everyone.
We are now planning our events timetable for the year and whilst we have already got our challenge events planned we do appreciate that these are not suitable for everyone, and often appeal to the family members and friends of those with RA who want to support them, rather than the people like you who have the disease. We would love to get as many of you involved as possible, and also try to find some things that you would enjoy taking part in so any ideas you would like to put to us?
Please email tracey@nras.org.uk and let me know what you would like to see.
Look forward to hearing from you!ThumpUp

Do you ever have stands at the County Shows? We have lots of big shows here in the West Country, like Devon Country, Royal Cornwall, Taunton, plus quite a few others. We go mainly for the equestrian stuff, but there's always loads of stands from various charities and all the livestock and fun fair for the kids, etc, etc - if you do get a stand at one or two, then it might be nice for us to visit you, and maybe meet up with a few others for a jolly day out.

County shows are a great way of raising awareness but can be quite costly to take a stand at and also need manning! We only have the office here in Maidenhead and a very small fundraising team so it can be difficult but if people would be willing to man a stand in their local area at these sort of shows we would be very happy to help in any way we can. A great way of raising funds can be to ask local businesses to provide prizes for a raffle or tombola, or if you know people who make craft items which they are willing to donate to be sold this is also a good way of raising funds. Any takers?!
